Nelli Palomäki’s portraits attract the viewer in an almost magnetic way towards the subject. There is a particular sweetness in her way of looking at them. Whoever looks at this portraits will stand there, staring for a long time, fascinated, developing the unconcious desire to want to exchange a few words with thos subjects, perfectly placed in a context (often) that invokes the beginning of the last century. There is no need for an explicit thread to look at these pictures, yet you’ll look at them with the same curiosity from the first one to the last one.
