“Bridge & tunnel” is a purely street photography project. The first of the images was selected amongst the finalists and published in the renown catalog of the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize of 2011. The characters of these images look like actors or cameos in cinematographic set. You can almost associate a fleeting thought to every face, just as fleeting was the passage of each individual in front of the camera. The light that freezes the subjects graphically enhances the “stolen moment” aspect that characterizes the whole project. The subject of solitude in the middle of the crowd has been addressed time and again, yet I don’t seem to ever get tired of looking at different interpretations like this one. Have a good vision!

“Bridge & Tunnel” è un progetto di pura street photography. La prima immagine di questa serie è stata selezionata tra le finaliste e pubblicata nel catalogo del ‘Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize’ di quest’anno. I personaggi di queste immagini sembrano attori o comparse di un set cinematografico, ad ogni viso si può associare un pensiero fugace, così come fugace è il passaggio davanti la macchina fotografica. La luce che congela i soggetti esalta graficamente l’aspetto dell’attimo rubato che caratterizza il progetto. Il tema della solitudine in mezzo alla folla è stato affrontato diverse volte, eppure non mi stanca mai vederne diverse interpretazioni come questa. Buona visione.
